So it's been a while since i managed to do any personal work, been very busy finishing a big project at work which took up a lot of time! But anyway, thought it would be good to pick up again with just a simple portrait to get me back into the swing of things :)
It's made with a scanned basemesh from 3d scan store, which is then worked on in sculpting to give it the final look i want before going to maya / arnold for shading and lighting. I used some of the great assets from texture xyz to make the displacement and colour maps, using Mari for texture creation. This is really just a look dev test so i will try and do something more artistic with the asset in the future. I'm happy with how it turned out though, especially the shading. Arnold is such a great lookdev tool and it's really fun to use for this type of project. I will aim to post some more renders and breakdowns soon! Thanks for looking.
